What is special about mineral sunscreen?

The two ingredients titanium dioxide and zinc oxide lie on the skin like a protective shield or mirror and reflect the UV rays so that they cannot penetrate the skin. Therefore, the protective effect is active immediately after application and the allergy potential is much lower than when using chemical UV filters.

What is the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreen?

Mineral sunscreen is 100% natural, is immediately absorbed into the skin and therefore provides protection immediately after application. The titanium and zinc oxides it contains reflect UVA and UVB rays and form a fine, more invisible protection on the skin. Chemical sunscreen, on the other hand, takes around 15-30 minutes to absorb into the skin and therefore the skin is not protected immediately after application. The skin is protected from UV rays by a chemical reaction.
